Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- pinch nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 420 grams (15 ounces) pumpkin, canned or cooked
- 336 grams (12 ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 pie shell, unbaked
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg in a small bowl.
- Beat eggs in a large bowl.
- Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture followed by evaporated milk.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 350 and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool for at least two hours.
- Serve with freshly whipped cream.
