Thomasisms

In lieu of actual content and because it is my blog and I want to remember these snippets, I present you with “things Thomas has said in the past few weeks”.

  • Tonight while making cookie dough with mama Thomas began to sing: “Brown sugar, brown sugar, what do you see? I see some oatmeal looking at me. White sugar, white sugar, what do you see? I see a cup looking at me.”
  • When discussing what we should eat for dinner the next night Thomas quickly offered:  “Orange (Spanish) rice and an enchilada”.  He then spontaneously added “Inivte Lily (our midwife’s daugther and a friend of Thomas’).  I sit in a purple booster.  Lily sit in a blue booster.  Lily sit next to me.”  (All said with his head tilted to the side and big grin on his face.)
  • While perusing talking cat videos on youtube:  “This one not very good.” (It was, in fact, quite lame.)
  • After sledding down a big hill with Jeff:  “Covered in snow.”
  • While frolicking in the snow: “Anybody have a nose wipe?”
  • To my belly: “Hi baby.  I’m your big brother.”
  • Looking out the car window:  “I see a crocodile…a crocodile cloud.”
  • Suddenly, several weeks after his birthday, said with shock:  “Guy (one of Thomas’ friends) eat the head!”  I was confused.  Thomas clarified:  “Guy eat the head.  Thomas eat the flipper.  Next time Thomas eat the head, Guy eat the flipper.  Need more turtle cake.”  (I realized that Thomas meant that Guy had eaten a portion of the head of the turtle shaped cake I had made for Thomas’ birthday.  Thomas had eaten a flipper.  The scary part is, Thomas was right and then proceed to tell me who was there and exactly what part of the turtle cake they consumed.)
