Dear Gina,
I also used cloth diapers on you. Shortly after I found out I was pregnant with you, the washer that came with our house died. (It was 15 years old) I couldn't believe it. I knew that I had to get a new one before you came, or I would be in LOTS of trouble. So, I went downtown, and bought one. It was on some kind of a payment plan, like $30 a month, which was a lot in those days, and we were on a very limited budget, but they delivered it, and it was wonderful. I was very cardful every month to make sure I budgeted that $30, and went down to the appliance store and paid it. Had it paid off in 1 year. I just remember how I felt buying that washer all on my own, (Dad was working), and signing my name to the agreement payment plan). It was the first time I ever did anything like that. My, how times have changed! I did hang your diapers outside in the summer to dry, on one of those round lines. Thanks for bringing back a fantastic memory! Love, Mom
