Jackass is right!! You know what I find to be even more insulting than men who look down on men who parent (parent = verb)? Women who look down on men who parent (parent = verb). My neighbor down the street, who stays home with her two boys, goes on and on about how her husband can't burp her kids effectively, doesn't play with them properly, doesn't supervise them adequately... gah!! It spins me up just to listen to her! So much pressure to play on yourself to be the only go-to person in the house.

I am so proud of Phil for being able to soothe Evelyn even though he doesn't have Magic Boobies. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't nurse her? He is so much more creative than I.

The art of being a great Dad is very very hard, Jeff has mastered this, while parenting is hard and we learn as we go Jeff got the Dad part down to a T. When I see him with the boys and how he works so hard at being the best Dad he can be it makes me know that you and the boys are in the best of hands. We have alwasy thought Jeff is the best but seeing him as a Dad makes us know he is the best.

Gina you may not remember because your were just a baby the time you and I would spend on those nights in Superior Wisc when I would take care of you when mom was out and we would watch Monday night football. With my crazy 24/7 job on the railroad I was never around enough to have the great times Jeff gets to have with your boys and I envy him for that. We did go to all your dance recitels, science fairs, and Tony's Tennis matchs and
Sara's plays and dance recitels it was as hard for me to go to work sometimes and not get that time that Mom spent with you all at home. You and I did have fun driving and towing your car from Kansas to California when you left to go to Cal-Tech. If I could I would do it all over again.

You and Jeff are doing a great job with the mystery of Parenthood. As the boys grow they will appreciate the time they got to spend with there DAD.

All out love Mom and Dad
