This is Not a Language I Speak
Yesterday, I posted a “free” ad on craigslist for our broken printer. I’ve gotten 12 emails so far wanting it – many with stories of how they above all the other craigslisters deserve this treasure. But my favorite email is this one:
Hi there,how r u!?tk u 4 the giveaway.may i ask if it’s still available?tk u 4 ur attention 2 this message.hope 2 hear fr u soon.regards!
Is this the language that the young people speak these days? Apparently I am not as young as I thought.

This is y I do not txt msg. HA HA see I can do it but it is harder to do it that way then just send a short text message or just call the person on the phone. As you know Gina I fought a BLACKBERRY and now I am as addicted to it as the other BB users. I still only send very short email replys on it and try and call when I can. I know I am on old crumudgen and gripe about all this new technology, I started out when computers where just a step above a stone tablet and an abacus. I used to have to hand write a switch list and if we had no paper use a crayon and a brown paper bag. Its scary to know that I am now the IT department here at out little railroad along with all my other duties. Remember you are only as young as you want to be and think you are, do not let technology tell you otherwise.
