Terrorism endangers a very very small percentage of the US population, and also a very very small percentage of the world population. We have a much better chance of dying on our daily commute than we do from being hurt my a terrorist. Here is a list of other things more deadly than terrorism.
1. heart attack
2. suicide
3. cancer
4. world hunger

On Sep. 11 about 3000 people lost their lives. To date, about 100,000 civilians and 5000 military persons have been killed in the Iraq war.

2 videos I recommend.

The US is not controlled by elected officials. The US (and the rest of the human population) is run by the people who control MONEY and RELIGION. (MONEY in the US, Europe, Japan, Canada, RELIGION in the rest of the world)

These are politicians, from Washington to Obama, they serve their interests 1st. The citizens concerns rise to the top only during election campaign time.

What do I think? Well 1st I had to get over the shock of Jeff;s comment.
You are correct Gina, we are not fighting a war with some country but with dis-jointed groups of unhappy very crazy persons who can not get along with each other and with the people in thier own countries.
I am not sure short of finding all the terror camps and obilterating then can we stop terrorism. No amount of security can stop that one person who is determined to make some type of statement with a bomb in his underwear. while there are some countries that support terror groups in most cases the terror get turned back on the people who disagree with how the terrorist and his leaders think. We need to add rebuilding a country's government that is fair to all people of a county to the list of how to counter terror. They have already won with the resrictions we have on flying, and loss of our freedom to make that our government thinsk will make us safe. I still think Israel has it right find them hunt them down and eliminate them. They also have the best and most secure airline in the world, yet thier are still terror attacks in Israel. I think the trillions would be better spent on education both here and overseas to give everyone a better chance at life. Once someone gets inside the beltway the stagnation of the process begins, we need that person in charge to really shake up things and its starts with everyone who votes or does not vote to force the change. At some point the voice of the people needs to count

What do I think?
I think there is very little difference between Obama and Bush. I am unbelievably disappointed in him and his administration. I have been wondering if he was the best choice, or if McCain would have been better.
