I was thinking about you and your freezer full of food! Good thing the power didn't go out. My parents regained their power Saturday afternoon but around the block from them it didn't come back on until Monday evening. I think my dad is actually depressed about how many trees are down in Lacy Park and the Arboretum. The LA Times had a nice article yesterday talking about how the Arboretum had developed a master plan earlier this year but was unsure how to implement it but now will have great opportunity to build some new urban food and Mediterranean garden exhibits since the wind did them a favor and felled 300+ trees. Fortunately the grove of old oaks in the back was pretty much left intact thanks to the hillside being southwest facing. Groves of oak trees are so magnificent...
