There are SO many competing needs at play here, and I believe that there are sacrifices to be made at each fork in the road. Employed mothers can lose precious time with their children. SAHM can lose precious years building a career (and identity for themselves) of meaning and depth. We all have to make difficult choices and there is no way to have it all, all at the same time.
