A wave of relief always washes over me when someone else acknowledges that three kids 5 and under is hard. YES! Mine are about to turn 2, 4, and 6, and I am home with them two days a week. It's easier this year now that my oldest has started kindergarten, but last year, those two days were really rough. It's hard to explain to someone how I can both be thankful to have a part-time job that allows me to be home a few days a week with them, but also how long and draining those days could be. The best days were those when I met up with another mom at a park in the morning and packed a lunch, then came home for nap time.

Good job looking for small changes that make a big difference! I think that at these ages, the normal keeps changing to new as soon as you get used to it!

Your children are beautiful =)! That is WONDERFUL that you have support and were able to make some changes when things weren't working out; I hope your changes help you to feel comfortable with your new normal!

1st off great pictures of the kids. Has Theo had a growth spurt he looks like he grew since I was there 2 weeks ago and Thomas looks like he grew also and that Anna What blue eyes.

Mom always had to work hard with 2 of you in Califorina (Stockton) and then the move to Texas and Sara made three. I am not sure how Mom did what she did with my long and unpredictable hours on the railroad. she had many days of 24 hours without me at home to help. Mom then took on child care for 3 to 4 more kids each day at the house along with you guys. I guess that gave you all more playmates, of course you went off to Kindergarten so you were in school and Tony went to the Baptist pre-school. I know it was a lot of work and I just got to come home and play with you all and not have to do all the hard work. I do know at times with all three home it can get to be almost to much. I am glad you have the time with the family but at the same time you hardly get a chance to breath. I love you are having that afternoon snack, with me eating the low calorie Healthy Choice meals and other less than 300 calorie meals I need a snack or I get grumpy. 1 small yogurt or a Trader Joes floes help me and I know my employees like it when I am not a grouch. But back to you, Glad you have now gotten Thomas into school, I know he is ready and I will bet he excited to start. While sending him off school will be hard, I know it was on Mom when you started, I also know you will love to see him learn and grow. Theo will miss his big brother but I am sure he will power thru. No harm in a little milk each day for theo if it makes the day go better maybe he can have his milk in a sippy cup at some point. Until I was around 12 or 13 I always came home and had a glass of chocolet milk, ( my mom was easy and it still came via the milk man in glass bottles left in the milk box on the back porch. Becker Farms, they had a mini train at the farm like the ones at Griffith park. Maybe that why I took to railroads. But I digress or go off on a tangent. I am glad you talk to Jeff and Friends and Sara Ann, and you know you can call or email anytime and bounce things off me not that you need an old curmudgon's advice or counsel. Get your naps in when you can . Making change is good and a little each time goes along way. We Love you all give the boys and Anna a big Papa Dave hug, Tell jeff hi and that Moms over here on the Kindle fire reading your blog, playing games and checking her emails, Reading books, wow she is hooked on that little device.
